Spa Francorchamps 01/10/2017 Drivers Roman Krumins and Jocke Frid have teamed up with the Danish KEO Racing team, who will compete on the 9th day of the Protesting Dutch GT & Prototype Challenge prototype in the Spa Racing Festival, to be celebrated this weekend September 30 until October 1st.
Over the past few days, Roman Krumins and Jocke Fried have worked very hard to adapt and get to know the car and the team. The qualifyng did not go as expected because of the rain however both drivers and team are satisfied with the performance of the car and are ready to give their best during the race to celebrate at 13:25 pm today. The race will have a duration of 60 minutes, said Kim Olsen team manager.
Asnaes Denmark 14/06/2017 It was clear on Friday afternoon, that was not viable for the team to take part in Road to Le Mans. It was caused due to lack of financial commitment from Edgars co-driver. It was our quest, to start the search for another driver in a very short time.
We tried hard by all means to have presence at Le Mans, and this is very unfortunate for our team, the time was against us.
During the weekend we started our search to find a driver who could join the team and run along with Edgar Lau during this week in France, however was not succesful.
It was not an easy decision. The whole team was ready to face our second race with our LMP3. We are frustrated having to stay at home with this exciting weekend ahed in Le Mans.
We are very happy on behalf of Edgar, it was possible for him to find a seat with one of the other team in last minute. We wish him success and the best luck and we wish him to have a good start at Le Mans.
The team will remain at home for this occasion. "Kim Olsen (Team Principal)"
Asnaes Denmark 26/05/2017 - Edgar Lau joins KEO Racing Team for the next race to be held in Le Mans France from 14 to 17 June.
As part of the activities of Michellin Le Mans Series, our next challenge are two races of 60 minutes each that is previous race of the main event, 24 hours of Le Mans 2017.
Everyone at KEO Racing is very excited to welcome Edgar Lau. Engineers, mechanics, and staff are looking forward to have him onboard. Edgar wil team up with Yoshi Mori, who made his debut two weeks ago in Monza.
Both drivers were race mates in 2016 in the LMP3 at the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup Series getting 1st and 2nd place at Sepan International Circuit Malaysia.
Having them running together again on the Road to Le Mans race will provide to KEO Racing an opportunity to make a stonger come back. "Kim Olsen".
Asnaes Denmark 17/05/2017 - Last weekend was our race debut in the Michellin Le Mans Cup with our LMP3. We had ups and downs over the weekend, our drivers Andrew & Mori adapted quickly to the car and even set the best times during free practices on Friday stopping the clock in 1:47.268 during Andrew`s command.
For the qualification of Saturday the situation changed radically, a spin on the first chicane broke the rhythm to Mori. Subsequently a red flag broke the pace again, preventing him from making a fast lap, the qualifying session ended with only two laps to roll in which we could not match the pace and ended up in the 13th position.
The two-hour race began at 16:45 pm CET with a temperature of 25C degrees, our strategy was far from conservative, we wanted to make an aggressive close. Unfortunately a contact on lap one at the exit of the second chicane took away our aspirations to get a good result. We were forced to retire, it was certainly a difficult weekend from which we could not learn enough.
Engineers and mechanics of the team were very happy to work with the drivers and we are looking forward to continue working together during the rest of the season.
Our next challenge will be Road to Le Mans next June 14 - 17, 2017 that date we will have two races, each lasting 1 hour. The first race will take place on Thursday, June 15 and the second on Saturday, June 17.
